Carlos Medina is a Post-Ph.D. academic who has been performing for some 3 decades. He enjoyed doing campus concerts as a university student in Belgium, the U.S., and Canada. He has published 7 books on cultural studies and 2 CD albums: "Off the Road" (12 original numbers) and "Disarrangements" (20 non-original numbers, disarranged). His major influences are Paul Simon, Paul McCartney, 1970s folk-rockers, Richard Saslow, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Mark Harrison. Using either his Martin Backpacker or Carvin AE 185, he actively volunteers as a musician in Brampton, Ontario.
