Karl Widmeyer

Folk, blues and gospel, with an alternative twist. Mellow and relaxing with a lot of soul.

Karl Widmeyer is a young and developing artist. His first experience with the guitar happened in highschool and he quickly became connected to the instrument . With the schools guitar orchestra, he has traveled to New York and Cleveland to compete and perform. Now, he is active member in both the Brampton Folk Club and the Nashville Songwriters Association International.

He has recently been to Nashville to seek education on the craft of songwriting. While he was there, he had the opportunity to play a few venues including, the famous Blue Bird Cafe. In his hometown of Brampton, Ontario, he has opened for Canadian folk icon, Mike Ford. He has also played in a songwriters round with Ken Whiteley. He has performed at the beautiful Rose Theatre in Brampton.

Karl Widmeyer records and produces all of his music. He also plays many instruments; from harmonicas to keyboards. He sings with a soulful and slightly raspy tone that blends well with catchy melodies and creative lyrics.
